Holy Exposure

A Modern Dakini Retreat

May 7th - 10th, 2026

Being fully alive requires being fully oneself.

Holy Exposure is not an explanation. It’s being seen without self-betrayal. Exposure becomes holy when it returns you to yourself, your path, your creative genius.

This retreat is a rewriting. Of the pattern most of us have been programmed into, to be “good”, to hide, please, shrink, manage, become palatable instead of ourselves. Not through force, but by building the internal safety that allows our truth to be revealed. The capacity for us to embrace everything we need and want.

A nature-filled feminine expressed retreat. We will swim, play, practice, and rest, to regulate, tell stories, meet our deepest parts, and welcome more of yourselves into fuller, more authentic expression.

This work opens you. And you learn how to stay. With yourself and for yourself.

Women. Nature. Rest. Connection. Play. Expression.

For the woman who is free, and ready for more life, deeper truth, and a story that asks her to fully inhabit it.

This retreat is a crossing, a turning point.

A gathering for women who are ready to reclaim their attention and agency. As a way to create greater capacity for more ease, creative expression, adventure and pleasure.

Holy means deliberate, empowered, authentic, and truly yours. Not impulsive. Not performative.

Exposure is the capacity for more life, the ability to see, feel, and receive more while staying with yourself.

In the beauty of Ojai, supported by land, ritual, and precise inner work, you’ll come in deeper contact with the most powerful parts of yourself and aliveness moving through you. It’s a chance to choose what matters and give up what doesn’t.

Your time to listen, open up, and remember what you’re here to express and share. You come because something in you is ready to be inhabited, not through force, but through devotion, care and clarity.

The Arc of the Retreat

The retreat unfolds in three intentional phases:

1. Containment & Regulation
We begin by creating real safety in our inner systems, so the body doesn’t brace, perform, or disappear, and depth can happen with tenderness not overwhelm.

2. Holy Exposure
From safety, truth becomes available. We work with visibility, voice, desire, boundaries, and power in ways that are steady, purposeful, and embodied.

3. Integration & Receiving
The body learns to hold more clarity, energy, and truth without reverting to old patterns. The work becomes sustainable, not situational.

A Modern Dakini is a devoted and embodied woman.

She lives and leads from her whole being, in integrity, power, and vulnerability. Here to inspire creative expression and freedom in herself and all.

The modern view of a Dakini in Buddhism is a liberated feminine force, she is both muse and mirror. Who dances between worlds, cuts through illusion, and guides us to our truth, direct and lived.

Ojai, California

Why here? Why now?

The land
Ojai sits in a rare valley known for it’s grounding quality. The mountains create a natural containment, perfect for retreat.

Water everywhere
Lakes, rivers, creeks. Water breaks and water rituals to support regulation, and help move energy and emotions.

Hikes that reset perspective
Trails, walks and walking meditations accessible and expansive.

Animals and living land
Animals, open land, and spaciousness create safety that’s felt.

The weather
California in May is ideal. Warm days, cooler evenings, long daylight, fresh air. No extremes to manage, perfect for the body to relax.

Ojai’s retreat lineage
For decades, Ojai has drawn artists, therapists, mystics, and practitioners. A place to slow down, listen, and reconnect with what’s essential.

meet your mentor

My name is Mountaha, and I go by Moun. I’m a Brazilian-born Buddhist practitioner and practical mystic devoted to loving and living fully, teaching, and transmitting what I practice. My work integrates Buddhism, psychology, somatic, and creative expression through what I call the Modern Dakini method, a lived approach to truth, embodiment, and self-trust.

Everything started when I embarked on a one way ticket to India in the Fall of 2014, and since 2017, I’ve been sharing the teachings and practices that have and continue to transform my life. I teach (and love) retreats because these depths can’t be accessed alone or online. When women come together in a shared container, held by practice, land, and time, something reorganizes. The nervous system relaxes, truth becomes accessible, and real change can take root.

I believe we each carry an extraordinary capacity for life and expression, and this capacity unfolds most fully when it’s met with structure, devotion, and community. Retreat is where this remembering deepens, where practice moves from concept to lived reality, and where a truer story begins to take shape.

The Core Pillars of the Retreat
  • Buddhist Teachings
We work with awareness, inquiry, and non-identification to relate to the experience without being overtaken by it. Teachings and practices that build stability, clarity, and choice.

  • Psychology & Parts Work
Exploring patterns, protections, and inner contracts, including younger parts and the inner child. This allows fear, desire, and vulnerability to be met with care, and survival strategies can soften.

  • Somatic Practice
Experiences grounded in the body through breathwork, movement, sensation, and nervous-system regulation. Teaching the body it’s safe again to feel, receive, and stay present as more life moves through.

  • Creative Expression
Revealing the inner creative genius. Writing, movement, dance, voice, and ritual, inner truth finds form in ways that are authentic, nourishing, and sustainable.

  • Nature, Rest & Animals

These are essential to this depth of practice. Time on the land, hiking, swimming, sauna and stillness, allowing the nervous system to settle, restore capacity, and let the work integrate without force.

Together, these pillars create a container strong enough for real intimacy with self and life, and reliable expression in the world without collapse, performance, or burnout.

“Each of Moun’s exercises leads us to a more free version of ourselves. I cannot say thank you enough for not only introducing me to a precious group of women that I have bonded with but introducing me to new potential in myself and my dharma.

Ann

“Moun creates a safe space that helps us, students, to open up and speak freely. She always listened to me with undivided attention. I learned to see things from another perspective, be patient, accept the things that I cannot change, and many other life-changing tools that are helping me go through life with more ease.
